Former Bibb Schools Superintendent dismisses lawsuit against Macon accounting firm
The attorney representing Mauldin & Jenkins, William Newcomb, said Dallemand’s voluntary dismissal was mailed on November 18, but Newcomb received notification on Tuesday. Newcomb said Dallemand didn’t give a reason for the dismissal, but it follows the motion to dismiss that Newcomb filed. Newcomb explained it’s possible for Dallemand to file another lawsuit.
This is the second lawsuit Dallemand filed against the accounting firm. He claimed Mauldin & Jenkins published false information about him in a 2014 audit.
Dallemand first filed a lawsuit against the firm in March 2015 in Collier County, Florida. Newcomb filed a motion to dismiss shortly after stating the case didn’t have an ties to Florida and shouldn’t be argued there. A judge dismissed the lawsuit in May.
