Floyd, Jenkins on Bednarik Watch List
ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Bulldogs join Nick Chubb on a preseason award watch list Tuesday.
Senior Jordan Jenkins and junior Leonard Floyd are both on the watch list for the Bednarik Award, given each year to the best college defensive player, according to a school release.
Jenkins made 70 tackles in 2014 to lead the Bulldogs, finishing with 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks.
Floyd, a former Dodge County star, led the team with six sacks and was fifth in tackles with 55.
David Pollack was the last UGA player to win the Bednarik Award.
