Fire destroys a Twiggs County home

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Twiggs County home went up in flames on Thanksgiving.
  It happened Thursday around 10 p.m., at 200 North Thomas Road in Jeffersonville, said Twiggs County Chief Deputy Billy Boney.
  Boney said the house is a total loss. the homeowners, Willie Thomas and his wife were not at home at the time of the blaze.
 The chief deputy said they are not completely sure what ignited the blaze.
 “We believe it may have started with a heater,” said Boney.
Investigators have requested a state fire marshal to determine how the fire started.
 “We don’t anticipate any wrong doing,” said
Boney.
Twiggs County Fire Department were assisted in battling the blaze by Allentown Fire and the Macon-Bibb County Fire Departments.
