Fifth Suspect Arrested for Abusing Total Care Patients
MACON, Gordon (41NBC/WMGT) – The last suspect wanted for his involvement of allegedly abusing elderly patients in a Gordon personal care home turned himself in to police.
Owen Pearson walked into the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office Sunday, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
He is charged with battery.
According to the arrest warrant Pearson is accused of repeatedly striking an elderly patient in the head at Total Care Personal Care Home. He is the fifth person arrested for allegedly abusing elderly patients at the personal care facility.
Other suspects arrested in the case they were taken into custody last month. Amber Coverson and Shakia Smith, are charged with aggravated assault and battery. Rodrekais Mosley is charged with battery and not reporting the abuse and Shemira Bivins is also charged with not reporting the abuse.
