Fatal shooting on Woodrow Place

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal shooting of a man who allegedly was trespassing on a property.

It happened at a home on Woodrow Place, which is near Mercer University Drive around 8:30 Friday night. The homeowner reported hearing a loud crash outside his bedroom window. When he went to see what it was, he saw 21-year-old Brandon Jackson coming from behind the home.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says that’s when the homeowner ordered Jackson to stop, and when he didn’t, the homeowner shot him several times. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
