Fallen Monroe County Deputy’s name to be added to memorial wall
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Norris, who was killed in the line of duty on September 14, 2014, will have his name added to the Georgia Law Enforcement Moving Memorial Wall on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office will hold an event in their front parking lot at 5:00 p.m. to honor Deputy Norris.
The Central Georgia Chapter XII of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and Georgia Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors sponsors the Moving Memorial. The wall includes 678 names of law enforcement officers who died on duty in Georgia.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
