Execution scheduled for man convicted of murdering Newton County senior citizen

COVINGTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The execution date is set for a man convicted of killing a Newton County senior citizen in 1992.

Bryan Terrell is scheduled to die by lethal injection March 10. He was convicted of malice murder for beating 70-year-old John Watson to death.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Terrell’s request for an appeal in December.
