Every vote counts for three local election races
A few votes helped to decided three Middle Georgia election races.
Sterling Braswell proved that is true, as he won Crawford County Board of Commissioners District One seat with the help of one vote.
Larry Cooley received 324 votes while Braswell slide by with 325.
Ronnie Gay barely won McRae Helena City Council District One Post Two race with three more votes than Charles Mathis.
Gay had 139 votes to Mathis 136.
Sandersville City Council District Four race winner was Jason Davis, who beat his opponent Don Wilscher with only six votes.
Davis received 223 votes and Wilscher had 217.
Losing candidates have until Tuesday to ask their board of elections for a vote recount.
Cooley says that he will not ask for a re-count of the votes.
