Elementary Student Wins Bibb County Spelling Bee

The 2014 Bibb County Spelling Bee took place this weekend, and three spellers were named top of the competition.

The event took place at Central High School this Saturday.

More than 30 students, 4th thru 8th grade participated in the spelling bee.

The winners of the spelling competition are:

• 1st place winner – Christian Lee, 5th grader, Springdale Elementary
• 2nd place winner – Keshon Hopkins, 8th grader, Weaver Middle School
• 3rd place winner – Aman Boricha-Masand, 5th grader, Alexander II
