Electrical engineer Moriarty wants to reform tax code if elected to House District 141 seat

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Candidate for House District 141, Brad Moriarty, is all about getting rid of property and income taxes.

Moriarty, a Republican and electrical engineer, calls himself a regular guy, and not a politician who’s looking to be a voice for the people.

When Moriarty had to fight Bibb County to get his property taxes lowered, he said that’s when he decided maybe it was time to make some changes at the state level.

He believes in keeping what you earn, and instead of paying property and income tax, he prefers increasing consumption taxes.

Moriarty, who’s a firm believer in the second amendment fully supports H.B. 60, what some have coined America’s most extreme gun bill.

He also supports more focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or S.T.E.M. in the classroom. He says it’s time for Georgia to get rid of the common core.
