Elam Alexander student to be charged after pepper spray incident

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County Schools Campus Police Officer used pepper spray after a student locked herself in a bathroom stall at the Elam Alexander campus of Northeast Thursday afternoon.

Stephanie Hartley with the Bibb County School District said the 15-year-old will be charged with obstruction of an officer and disorderly conduct.

Hartley explained the officer used pepper spray to gain control of the situation because the student was being combative. An ambulance was called out of precaution. No one was injured.
