UPDATE: GBI says Eastman woman charged with murder after victim dies in hospital

Investigators say the updated charges follow the death of 44-year-old Ernie Jordan, who was shot on November 29.

UPDATE (12/2): The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it has secured additional arrest warrants for Daysia Kiwanna Ivey-Bolden. She’s now charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, tampering with evidence and simple battery.

Ivey-Bolden is accused of shooting 44-year-old Ernie Jordan on November 29 in Eastman.

The GBI says Jordan and Bolden were previously involved in a personal relationship.


UPDATE: The GBI confirmed Monday that the victim in Saturday’s shooting, 44-year-old Ernie Lee Jordan of Eastman, died Sunday afternoon.

“We will release more updates as they become available,” a spokesperson wrote in response to our request for updates.

EASTMAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested an Eastman woman in connection with a shooting on Saturday.

According to a GBI news release, the shooting happened around 1 a.m. on November 29 in the 200 block of 1st Avenue in Eastman. A man was shot and taken to a trauma center, where he remains in critical condition.

29-year-old Daysia Kiwanna Bolden is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain crimes. Eastman Police requested the GBI to assist with the investigation, according to the release.

Bolden was booked into the Dodge County Jail.
