Dublin Senior Willie Batts Accepts Preffered Walk-On Offer at Fort Valley State

DUBLIN, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Dublin senior Willie Batts has accepted a preferred walk-on offer to play football at Fort Valley State University, officially committing to the Wildcats’ program for next season.

Batts, a standout on the gridiron, rushed for 1,306 yards and 17 touchdowns during his senior year, ranking second on the team in both categories. He also led the Irish with 22 total touchdowns in a remarkable 13-1 season that ended in a heartbreaking home loss in the state semifinals.

The talented running back is set to take the field at Wildcat Stadium as he begins the next chapter of his football career.
