Dublin VA announces plans for new Macon clinic

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Veterans who live in Macon won’t have to travel far to receive care.

The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center announced plans for a new location for its Macon VA clinic.

According to a news release sent Thursday, the change will allow for expanded services and additional space needed to provide health care services, and also will more centrally position the clinic for veterans’ convenience. The new facility will be approximately 23,650 square feet.

“We are continually looking for ways to improve our veterans’ experience of VA health care by making positive changes that reflect our commitment to excellence. The new clinic location will provide existing care more efficiently and allow us to offer more services,” Maryalice Morro, the Dublin VA’s director, said in the release.

Additional services include optometry, audiology, and additional mental health services.
