Dublin City Schools increases graduation rate in 2015

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Department of Education released its cohort graduation rate data for 2014 and 2015.

Superintendent Dr. Fred Williams explains how Dublin High School secured one of the highest percentages for the region at 96.2. 

That’s score is up from its 86.5 in 2014.

According to a news release, here are neighboring systems scores: Bleckley County (89.4); Dodge County (89.5); Johnson (81.8); West Laurens (87.8); East Laurens (90.1); Montgomery County (86.3); Treutlen (77.8); Twiggs (78.8); Wilkinson County 93.0) and Wheeler (84.8).

Williams attributes most of the school’s success to community members and partners joining together to teach kids vital skills in education, such as following attendance policies and utilizing out-of-class programs.
