Downey and Easter head for run-off in District 6 BOE seat.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The District 6 race for the Macon-Bibb County Board of Education seat was not settled tonight, and will be headed for a runoff.
Jason Downey, the incumbent, finished the night with 2,116 total votes for 40% of the vote.
His opponent, Bob Easter, finished with 49% of the vote with 2,604 total votes.
Third candidate Valerie Wynn finished with 12% of the vote.
The run-off election will be held on July 26th.
