Dog of the Week: Ellis

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – This week’s “Dog of the Week” is Ellis!

Ellis is a male, Shih Tzu mix dog in his older years. He needs a loving family to spend the rest of his life with.

Regenia Brabham from Critical Care for Animal Angels recommends a family with older children or an extra attentive couple to care for Ellis.

Ellis is also deaf and partially blind. Though he may not hear or see too well, Brabham insists that Ellis finds way to communicate with his helpers and latches onto his caregivers very easily.

Sometimes Ellis can get startled when approached from behind. Brabham says whoever adopts him should always make his/her presence known by greeting him face-front.

Coming Up…

On October 6, Critical Care for Animal Angels will host its annual “Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival” at North Peach Park in Byron.

Kids will be able to trick or treat, collecting candy from different trunks. There will be raffles, a talent show competition and dogs available for adoption on site, too.

All it takes for entry is a $1 donation per child.

If you are interested in participating or would like to be a vendo, please email Regenia Brabham at ccaa.georia@gmail.com.
