Dickey Betts hospitalized after slipping at his Florida home
OSPREY, Florida (41NBC/WMGT) – The “Ramblin’ Man” singer-songwriter, Dickey Betts, is set to undergo brain surgery Friday after slipping in his backyard.
According to Betts’ Facebook fan page, he slipped while playing with the family dog and cracked his head, causing bleeding from the brain.
The founding Allman Brothers Band guitarist was sedated at a local hospital Monday night. The brain surgery is scheduled to relieve swelling.
The page also says David Spero, Betts’ manager, said the Betts is “listed as in critical but stable condition”.
