55-year-old woman shot on Dewey Street in Macon

Deputies responded at 2:37 p.m. to the 1300 block of Dewey Street

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 55-year-old woman was shot Sunday afternoon in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Macon-Bibb E-911 received a call at 2:37 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 1300 block of Dewey Street.

Deputies say they arrived and found the woman inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. An ambulance took her to a hospital. Medical staff say she is listed in stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating the shooting.
