Designers give Delta Air Lines a new look

Delta is going purple with its new uniforms.

Fashion designer Zac Posen is helping design the uniforms, which he calls ‘passport plum”.

Lands end will make the clothing for some 60-thousand workers, both customer service and flight attendants as well as cargo and ground maintenance.

Social security recipients won’t get much of an increase next year.

They will receive three-tenths of a percent increase in their monthly checks in 2017.

That comes to about 5 bucks more a month.

Much of that increase will go to medicare, which is expected to go up 22 percent next year.

Stocks rose Tuesday as investors react to earnings beats from companies in the financial and tech sector.

The NASDAQ was the best gainer up nearly one percent.

The government says nearly 1 in 5 drivers in the U.S. Is over 65 years old, thanks in part to the aging baby boomer generation and greater longevity overall.

The federal highway administration also says there are more drivers today than ever before, an estimated 217 million.

Drivers over 65 are the fastest growing group but teen drivers also rose last year.

Jeans could be toast.

Women are buying more leggings than jeans online.

For the first time, this year, women purchased more leggings than jeans on the internet.

That’s according to slice intelligence, which tracks online purchases.

In fact, over the past year, demand for the tight fitting pants has increased by 41 percent compared with 3 percent for jeans.
