Deputies: Man arrested after being found in possession of stolen vehicle in Jones County

Jones County deputies say a man is in custody after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle on Tuesday night.

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Jones County deputies say a man is in custody after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle on Tuesday night.

A sheriff’s office Facebook post says a deputy received an alert to a stolen vehicle near New Clinton Road, possibly being driven by Wilbur “Frankie” Walton.

The deputy then located the vehicle at Emerald Trailer Park, found Walton inside a home and took him into custody.

Deputies say Walton was still in possession of the vehicle’s keys when he was arrested. They say they also found “suspected cocaine” in the vehicle.

Walton is charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
