Deputies make an arrest in East Macon homicide

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb deputies have made an arrest in the murder of an East Macon man that occurred back in October.

BCSO deputies and members of the US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Trayvion Lamonte Burney at an address on Vacation Drive on Saturday afternoon around 4:00 PM.

They were able to take Burney into custody without incident.

He was then transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of murder, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and a probation violation.

Burney is the man responsible for the murder of 38 year-old Jackie Dewayne Rouse who got caught in the crossfire of an altercation at a party on Dennis Street.

He currently has no bond set.
