Delores A. Brooks Center temporarily closed due to major sewage issues

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Delores A. Brooks Center in East Macon will be closed temporarily until further notice.

The county made the announcement in a release on Tuesday citing major sewage issues with the center’s pump station.

The pump has been shut off and facilities management department crews are trying to figure out what caused it to stop working.

Even though the facility itself is closed, scheduled activities at the center will continue. They’ve been moved to the Rosa Jackson Center at 1211 Maynard Street.

For any questions about activities and schedules, contact the Macon-Bibb Recreation Department at 478-621-6280.
