Defending champ Northside knows it will take hard work to defend title

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 2014 season couldn’t have ended any better for the Northside Eagles, as they came away with a state championship beating Mays 25-18. Now 6th year head coach Kevin Kinsler is hoping his team can reach that goal again for 2015.

The Eagles only lost a single game in all of 2014, boasting an offense that tallied an average of 36.8 points per game. Coach Kinsler will have a new running back carrying the ball for him in DeSean Dinkins, but will be returning quarterback Tobias Oliver.

It’s no doubt a state champion would not only be a force on offense, but equally unstoppable on defense allowing less than 15 points per game. They’ll be bringing back defensive backs Tae Daley and Chris Haughton, as well as LB Kam Burnett.

The Eagles begin their title defense August 21st against North Cobb. The first home game will be September 4th versus Evans.
