DECISION 2013: District 2 Candidate Bronson Says His Age Will Be Asset On Commission

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Paul Bronson says dilapidated homes are an eyesore in Macon-Bibb County’s new District 2, but he’s got a plan to put the homes back to use.

“Transforming those homes into transitional homes for senior citizens, or army veterans that are coming back home from overseas,” said Bronson.

Bronson, a U.S. Army Captain and a former firefighter, believes his experience working with people of many different backgrounds will be an asset if he’s elected to represent District 2.

He says his background will help him bring in cross-cultural events to the county. He also says his age helps him relate and tailor programs for Macon’s youth. 

“When we’re talking about our youth… I’m not too separate from those guys I’m only 28… but I am willing to learn, I am willing to seek out that knowledge,” said Bronson.

Bronson says he won’t have trouble relating to people in older generations either. He prides himself on having an open mind and willingness to work with people of all ages.

Bronson is currently working on his Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Fort Valley State University. He is a Macon native, and graduate of Central High School.
