What to do if you have debris around your house because of Tropical Storm Irma

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Emergency Management Agency made a post  on their Facebook page Tuesday morning about what you need to do if you have debris around your house.

These are the guidelines the EMA listed:

– All tree trucks, limbs, and branches must be cut four feet or less in length.
– Limbs and branches are to be placed at curbside in their own pile.
– Tree trunks are to be placed in their own pile.
– Do not mix limbs, branches, and trunks with other solid waste.
– Place building materials at the curbside in separate pile.
– Put leaves and pine straw in their own bags or trash can.

The EMA also said trash/recycling pickup will be a day behind this week, and there will be no bulk yard waste pickup. Only yard waste in bags and cans will be picked up.
