DA: Former GBI agent accused of touching boys with hands and sex toy

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A former GBI agent was arrested and is facing multiple child molestation charges.

Agents arrested 34-year-old Charles Woodall at his family’s residence in Knoxville, Tennessee.

A news release from the GBI says there were several allegations of sexual misconduct against Woodall. The incidents were reported to the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s office.

District Attorney David Cooke recommended arrest warrants.

He addressed Woodall’s arrest Tuesday in a news conference.

“According to the warrants, Mr. Woodall is accused of molesting and furnishing obscene material to three boys over the course of many years, beginning in September of 2005 and continuing until February of 2014,” Cooke said.

The warrants claim Woodall touched the boys using his hands and a sex toy, showed the boys porn, told one of the boys to ride in his car while naked, and enticed the boys for indecent purposes to engage in the acts.

Woodall is facing nine counts of child molestation charges, six counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, one count of electronically furnishing obscene material to minors, and one count of violation of oath of office.

Woodall was a former agent with the GBI from December 2011 until he resigned in October 2015.

He’s in the Bibb County jail.
