Current and former Bobcat golfers shine at Georgia Amateur
Alum Carter Collins has the best finish of the bunch, tying for second overall at a one-under 279. The former All-American and current Associate Head Coach at Georgia Southern University, Collins fired rounds of 70-69-70-70 to pick up the second-place finish.
Fellow alum Brad Davis was tied for sixth with an even-par 280. Davis started strong with a 69, following that with more consistency of 70-71-70.
Rising senior Ryan Trocchio (Norcross, Ga.) tied for 20th at eight-over with a 288. Trocchio, another former All-American, posted a 71-75-73-69.
Rounding out the four Bobcat golfers to make the cut was rising sophomore Harrison Stewart (Roswell, Ga.) adding a 34th place finish. Stewart was 12-over with his 292 (72-75-70-75).
The 2014-15 version of Georgia College golf gets underway Monday, Sept. 15 at the Kiawah Island Invitational, hosted by USC Aiken.
