Covenant’s Tate signs with Georgetown

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -You may have heard of Georgetown’s basketball team, but did you know the school also has a football team?

Covenant Academy’s Khristian Tate will soon be part of that team. Tate, the the bruising runningback who led the Rams to the 2015 GICAA title, will play the same position in college.

“I met the coaches and everything and it was awesome up there,” he says. “I met the team and they were really welcoming and they just made an offer I just couldn’t pass up.”

Tate went on to say he liked the team’s schemes and felt like they matched his playing style.
