Council Approves Rosa Parks Park Upgrades

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Construction upgrades to Rosa Parks Park in downtown Macon will be coming soon.

Monday night, City Council approved accepting a $10-thousand donation from State Bank, and breaking ground on an interim design that includes removing asphalt and installing sod.

The total cost of the project is estimated to cost a little more than $16-thousand.

Mayor Reichert hopes the park upgrades will be complete by the Cherry Blossom Festival in mid March.
