Congressman Scott shares thoughts on president’s State of the Union address

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Congressman Austin Scott wanted to hear the president’s plans for national security during the State of the Union address.

He adds he wants to know what the country is going to do about the growing threats from around the world, specifically the lone wolf threats.

Scott was also interested in President Obama’s proposal to get the national debt under control.

“We’ve got a 17, 18 trillion dollar national debt, as we approach that 18 trillion dollar,” Scott said. “I want to know what his proposal is to get the debt back under control and get jobs growing in this country.”

The congressman tells 41NBC he believes most Americans are worried about the economy, jobs, and making sure they feel safe at home.
