Congressman Hice: State of the Union highlights ‘failed policies of the past’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Freshman Congressman Jody Hice says the president’s message during his State of the Union address was the same year after year.

Hice adds the policies in his speech empowers Washington when he believes we need a smaller government.

“This is nothing other than policies that will strengthen and empower Washington while hurting Americans and taxpayers and business creators,” Hice said.

Hice believes the policies laid out during the president’s speech are more failed policies of the past.

The congressman believes lawmakers will need to work across party lines to get action done.
