Community Foundation of Central Georgia announces new neighborhood grant program

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Community Foundation of Central Georgia is helping three Middle Georgia communities through its new “Neighborhood Grant Program.”

This is an opportunity for non-profits, schools, and neighborhood groups in Village Green and East Macon/Walnut Creek, as well as the Harrisburg community in Milledgeville, to apply for funds to benefit their areas.

The Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia hopes to get input on what it can do to make the program better through this new grant opportunity.

“We will be talking to the parents and making sure we understand what their needs are and see if we can help them reach those goals,” Willie Brown said.

A total of $30,000 is available for the three neighborhoods. The deadline to apply is on June 30th.
