Commissioner Al Tillman seeking District 9 reelection

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Al Tillman is seeking reelection for the District 9 seat.

Tillman made the announcement Wednesday at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center. The Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority Chairman, Clifford Whitby, and former state senator and Bibb County School Board member Susan Cable spoke in support of his decision.

Newly elected Bibb County School Board President Lester Miller and Vice President Jason Downey attended the event.

Tillman addressed rumors he would be running for mayor by saying “never say never, but at this time I belong with District 9.” Tillman also said he supports reelection of the entire commission because of all the progress members have made so far.
