Cold front to bring strong breezes Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An incoming cold front will bring wind and additional clouds, however associated rain chances will be low.

A sequence of sunny days this weekend continued into the new week with sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s seen across Middle Georgia today. Skies will stay clear heading into the overnight hours, however clouds will likely be arriving ahead of the sunrise tomorrow. Expect lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s with accompanying wind out of the southwest at 7-12 mph. Gusts could push over 20 mph.

A mostly cloudy morning is expected with the wind shifting to out of the northwest heading into lunchtime. Expect sustained speeds to range from 10-20 mph with gusts reaching as high as 30 mph. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s with a couple of spots further south possibly reaching the upper 70s. A stray shower is possible, however it is more likely no rain is seen anywhere in Middle Georgia. Sunny skies are likely over the back half of the day.

Overnight will be clear with temperatures expected to dip down into the low to mid 40s. Wind will still be a bit breezy from the northwest at 5-12 mph with gusts ranging from 15-20 mph.

Sunny skies will be back fully Wednesday with highs likely in the mid to upper 70s. Plenty of sun is expected over the back half of the week as temperatures soar heading into Easter Weekend.
