“Cold” Front in Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – This past weekend, an approaching cold front swung through the state of Georgia. This morning, it is stationed just south of Warner Robins, across middle Georgia. Behind this front, cooler/drier air will filter into the region. Today, we should see mostly sunny skies and dry conditions, though a few showers/storms may develop in the afternoon and evening hours.

Heading into Tuesday, a slight southerly flow will return to our wind pattern, allowing some moisture to sink in. With daytime heating occurring and a weak disturbance in the atmosphere trying to make its way into Georgia, there will be a better chance for showers and storms to develop tomorrow.

By the middle and end of the work week, we will feel the effects of the passing cold front. Humidity will be lower, so it won’t feel so muggy outside. Also, morning lows will be dipping into the 60’s for a nice, cool start to the mornings.
