Coach’s Corner: Stratford looking to better 2015’s 9-4 mark

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Stratford Eagles finished 2015 with a 9-4 record, and won two playoff games before losing out in the semifinals.

The Eagles defeated Calvary Day and Pinecrest Academy before losing to Aquinas 35-28, which was the third time they lost to Aquinas for the season.

Stratford will play in Region 7-A, along with Tattnall, FPD, Mount de Sales, Twiggs County, and Wilkinson County. This will be their third season in the GHSA.

This is Mark Farriba’s fourth season as head coach.


The Eagles must find a way to replace RB Quintez Cephus and O’Showen Williams.

Returning players: QB Noah Hill, and offensive linemen Justin Griffin, Josh Davis, David Matlock, Jonathan Barron, Tobe Umerah, and fullback Kasey Sanders.


Justin Griffin and Josh Davis will also play on defense.

Returning players: Jamie O’Quinn and Tyler Jordan.

FIRST GAME: August 26th at home, versus Savannah Country Day.
