Coach’s Corner: John Milledge coming off three straight 11-2 seasons
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For three straight years, the John Milledge Trojans finished with a record of 11-2. And for four straight years, the Trojans have lost in the semi-finals.
Last season’s loss came at the hands of Deerfield-Windsor in Albany, by a score of 47-7.
The Trojans will play in Region 4-3A, along with Westfield, Gatewood, Westminster, and Augusta Prep.
This is J.T. Wall’s 6th season as head coach of John Milledge. In those six years, his team has compiled and impressive 52-11 record.
OFFENSE:
The Trojans will be returning 6 starters, which includes returning quarterback Trevor Evans. Last year, Evans set a school record for most pass attempts.
Evans will have help with several players he can throw the ball to, including Andrew Prestwood, Jaylin Sealey, Jalen Beck, and Noah Lavender.
DEFENSE:
John Milledge will have 7 starters on defense returning for 2016.
The defense helped the team lead the way as they were able to hold opponents to under 10 points in nine games.
FIRST GAME: August 12th versus Pinewood Christian.
