Coach’s Corner: The FPD Vikings will have to replace several offensive starters for 2016.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In 2015, the FPD Vikings finished with a record of 6-5, which was good enough to reach the playoffs.

The Vikings lost in the first round to Prince Avenue Christian, by a score of 41-7.

FPD will play in Region 7-A, along with Mount de Sales, Tattnall, Stratford, Wilkinson County, and Twiggs County.

This is the 17th season at FPD for head coach Greg Moore.


The Vikings offense averaged 26.5 points-per-game in 2015.

They will need to find a replacement for three-year starter Will McCormick at quarterback.

The Vikings will also need to replace leading rushers Reggie Gantt, and Dontrez Johnson.

Coach Moore isn’t done there, he will also need to find someone to take over for leading receiver Daniel Weaver.

The offensive line will comprise of Thomas McBride, E.J. Tobler, Denson Martin, and Jon Lester.


The Vikings allowed 22.2 points-per-game last season.

Defensive back Torrian Bradley-McSwain will make his return in 2016.

Denson Martin and E.J. Tobler will also play on the defensive side of the ball.

Coach Moore admits his team will need help on the secondary.

FIRST GAME: Saturday, August 27th versus Howard. The game will take place at Mercer.
