Coach’s Corner: Bleckley County Royals coming off worst season since 2008

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bleckley County Royals are hoping to forget 2015 after finishing the year 1-9, their worst season since 2008.

The Royals will play in Region 3-2A along with Dodge County, Dublin, East Laurens, Northeast, Southwest, and Washington County.

This is head coach Tracy White’s fifth season.

The team struggled mightily on offense, only averaging 11.2 points-per-game.

The Royals will have a question mark concerning the quarterback position, but will have returning running back Nakeem Farrow and wide receiver Willie Taylor to hopefully lighten the load.

Coach White feels he has a good nucleus for his offensive line, however, with three starters returning.

The Royals allowed 30 points-per-game last season.

The defensive line may be anchored by 6’5″, 295 lbs. sophomore Damien Thomas, as well as Kevontez Farrow.

FIRST GAME: August 19th, at Clinch County in Homerville.
