Clouds return overnight; should stick around into lunchtime tomorrow
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Clouds will move into Middle Georgia again overnight with the possibility for fog early Tuesday morning.
This Evening
It’s been a lovely afternoon to start the first work week of March. While today has been pretty warm this week will see conditions well above average with a taste of summer possible later this week. It will be an above average night tonight but like the afternoon temperatures it will be one of the cooler nights this week. Lows in the low to mid 50s will be around 10 degrees above normal. The wind will flow from the east-southeast at 5-10 mph with gusts to around 15 mph. Some fog may fill in ahead of the sunrise tomorrow morning. These clouds will likely make it difficult to see March’s full moon, the Full Worm Moon.
Tomorrow
Expect a cloudy morning around Middle Georgia with at least some patchy fog around the sunrise. Clouds should start to break up just after lunchtime with mostly clear conditions likely in the evening. Expect a slightly cooler afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The wind will flow from the southeast around 5 mph. Pollen levels are on the rise with the warmer conditions as well. Tree pollen levels are highest followed by grass pollen.
Overnight will be mostly clear and likely the coolest night of the week. Lows will hover around the 50 degree mark accompanied by southeast winds around 5 mph. It should be a lot easier to see the moon this time around, however it will not be at its fullest anymore.
Wednesday and Beyond
The heat begins to turn up Wednesday with an overall partly sunny pattern taking over for the rest of the week. Temperatures will start climbing into the 80s on Wednesday and will continue to stay in that range the rest of the week (and coming weekend). Rain odds look to be limited to isolated showers on Thursday and Friday.
