Cloud cover to return to Middle Georgia Friday afternoon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Cold and moist air wrapping around the backside of a low pressure system will bring added clouds and a chance for an isolated cold rain shower to Middle Georgia tomorrow.
The Rest of the Evening
Skies will remain mostly clear around Middle Georgia as much colder conditions settle in overnight. Low temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s with winds from the west-northwest coming in at 5-10 mph. Gusts could reach over 15 mph at times tonight.
Tomorrow
It will be a sunny beginning to Friday around Middle Georgia before low-level clouds begin to move into the region from the northwest during the afternoon. Temperatures will only reach the upper 40s and lower 50s with winds from the west coming in at about 7-17 mph. Gusts could reach over 25 mph at times during the afternoon.
Overnight it will be mostly cloudy with a slim chance for a rain shower after midnight. While temperatures are expected to approach or get down to the freezing point around much of the region, winter precipitation is not expected at this time. Winds will remain slightly breezy from the west-southwest at about 5-10 mph.
The Weekend
Saturday will be a mostly cloudy day with high temperatures only climbing into the lower 50s. Rain is not expected, however it will continue to be a bit breezy out of the west. Sunday will see more sunshine and temperatures returning to the upper 50s and lower 60s. New Year’s Day Monday could see some scattered showers before more sun returns Tuesday.
