Clark, Talton talk about house seat for District 147 after upset

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After Tuesday’s primary elections, perhaps one of the biggest upsets was the District 147 seat in the state House of Representatives.

Willie Talton has had the seat for 10 years.

Talton was ousted by newcomer Heath Clark.

Both republicans say they want to see the county continue to grow. Clark says a better infrastructure will help the county move in the right direction.

“If we start focusing on improving some of that infrastructure in middle Georgia you can see some really big improvements to our local economy by bring private sector jobs into the middle Georgia area,” Clark said.

“I would like to see him do, which were my plans too, to continue to see us grow and especially protecting that base because that’s a big part of our lives and I’d like to see that done,” Talton said.

Talton says he supports Clark and wishes him well.

He says he’s unsure what he’ll do in the future.
