Church members hand out blankets to homeless in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One Macon group is helping the homeless community. Members from Overcoming Fellowship Church handed out items to keep people warm.

Blankets, pillows, donuts, hot cocoa and coffee were given to those in need at Unique 2 Auto and Detailing. Owner of Unique 2, Bernard Bronner says they just wanted to help out.

“We just want to do our part in the community to help the homeless. We don’t have a whole lot, but we can do our part,” said Bronner. “If everybody does their part, this would be a better community.”

This is the first year the group has done this. Bronner hopes it’s not the last.
