Chubb on Maxwell Award Watch List

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) Georgia tailback Nick Chubb has been added to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, given each year to the best college football player in the country, according to a school release.

The rising sophomore was on the Freshman All-America team last season and was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year after  rushing for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Herschel Walker was the last Bulldog to win the Maxwell Award in 1982.
