Children at St. Joseph’s School march in “Parade of Gifts”
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Children at St. Joseph’s Catholic School were in the spirit of giving as they marched down High Street carrying hundreds of toys Monday morning.
The students walked during the “Parade of Gifts” with donations in hand for Family Advancement Ministries (FAM).
“This is just a wonderful opportunity for families who really wouldn’t be able to afford a good Christmas for their children to be able to receive Christmas from such a generous, outpouring of gifts from the students at St Joseph’s School,” Sister Roberta Treppa, Director of FAM said.
All of the toys will go to needy children, ages six and under, whose parents are struggling to provide during the holiday season.
