Children from The Methodist Home go on a shopping spree
Local donors, or “Christmas Angels” as they were called, were able to do their part in making sure 78 children in need had a Merry Christmas.
Danny Harrison of Harrison Construction took the children, who live at The Methodist Home, on a shopping spree.
“It’s just a great opportunity to do God’s work,” Harrison said. “[I’m] just really lucky to have the friends and customers to get behind me and really help make this happen.”
The wide-eyed youths were able to peruse the aisles for anything that caught their attention, with each child allowed to spend $300 dollars on themselves or for loved ones.
Harrison has been contributing to the Methodist Home for about ten years. This year, he was able to raise over $22,000 from nearly 90 donors.
