Chief says Warner Robins drug operation meant to bring lasting change
Operation Crimson Snow leads to 11 arrests and the seizure of drugs, cash, firearms, and vehicles
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A nearly two-year long investigation into organized drug trafficking in Warner Robins has led to multiple arrests and the seizure of drugs, cash and weapons.
The investigation, known as Operation Crimson Snow, focused on dismantling what officials describe as an organized drug trafficking operation operating within the city.
On June 10, the Warner Robins Police Department, along with several partner agencies, executed multiple search warrants across Warner Robins.
Authorities say 11 people were arrested as part of the coordinated effort.
Investigators seized more than $106,000 in cash during the operation.
Officials say they also recovered a wide range of illegal drugs, including powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and several prescription medications such as Xanax, Ritalin, hydrocodone, and oxycodone. Psilocybin mushrooms were also among the substances found.
In addition to the drugs, officers confiscated 16 firearms and 10 vehicles believed to be connected to the operation.
Authorities say the case was built over 18 to 24 months and involved cooperation between multiple local, state, and federal agencies.
Chief Wayne Fisher with the Warner Robins Police Department says the goal is to create long-term change.
“This is to create a long-term durable solution to the criminal problems that exist within our community,” Fisher said.
He also spoke about the importance of collaboration in investigations like this.
“In today’s day and age of law enforcement, you can not fight crime by yourselves, and it’s through this partnership we have with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and our local law enforcement partners that we’ve identified that we’re able to do what we do,” Fisher said.
Officials say operations like this are part of a continued effort to disrupt illegal drug activity and improve safety throughout the Warner Robins community.
