Cherry Blossom Festival announces 2024 Veterans Day events
The Cherry Blossom Festival has announced a series of events to honor veterans in Macon-Bibb County.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Cherry Blossom Festival has announced its event schedule for its 2024 Veterans Day events in Macon-Bibb County this November.
A portion of proceeds from the events, set for November 9-11, 2024, will benefit the Georgia Veterans Service Foundation.
The Veterans Day 5K is set for November 9 at 8:30 a.m. at Middle Georgia State University. Runners are invited to participate in a scenic morning run. Registration is $35 until September 30, after which the fee increases to $40. Participants must register by October 23 to secure a race t-shirt.
The Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for November 10 at 3 p.m. in downtown Macon. This event will feature patriotic floats, military units and marching bands. Applications to participate in the parade are currently open.
On November 11, the Veterans Day Golf Tournament will be held at River North Country Club at noon. The tournament offers a four-man scramble format, with a team entry fee of $1,000. Participants will enjoy lunch, receive an official tournament polo and have the opportunity to win cash prizes. Sponsorships for holes and flags are also available. Click here to sign up.

Major General Retired Bob McMahon and his wife, Hope, will serve as chairs for the Veterans Day events.
