CGTC women win GCAA title, advance to NJCAA national tournament
The Central Georgia Technical College Titans defeated South Georgia Tech 94-83 to win the 2026 GCAA championship and advance to the NJCAA national tournament.

AMERICUS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Central Georgia Technical College Titans women’s basketball won the 2026 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association championship Friday night, beating South Georgia Technical College Jets women’s basketball 94-83 in Americus.
According to a news release from Central Georgia Technical College, it’s the program’s first conference championship in National Junior College Athletic Association Division I.
The championship matchup featured the conference’s two top teams, with the Titans using a balanced offensive attack to secure the victory and take the season series 2-1 over South Georgia Tech. Central Georgia Tech averaged 95 points in its two tournament games.
With the championship win, the Titans earned the GCAA’s automatic berth to the NJCAA Women’s Basketball National Tournament scheduled for March 24–31 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
